Summer Fun

Ah summer. It's been so hot lately, we can only stand to be outside if we're getting wet. This makes the time pass very slowly during the week when Steve's busy with an internship, night classes and community service (through the law school). But the weekends he has free! We've been packing in all the activities we can during our weekends, so that we can stand the weekdays.

We've been using the pool at the Green Valley Ranch, which has it's own beach and is so much nicer than our community pool.

We also made the trip to Red Rock Canyon, which claims to be the prettiest place in all of Nevada. It was nice, but if it's the prettiest place in Nevada, then I feel sorry for Nevada.

This past weekend we squeezed in a trip to San Diego. We went to the beach, SeaWorld, Old Town, and the temple. The highlight was when Grace got a dolphin to wave to her. Really!

This is what happens when you don't have a lawn...

...your son grows up thinking a lawn mower is the same thing as a vacuum. I guess Roman's future wife will appreciate the fact that he's not opposed to doing a little vacuuming, even if he does try to use a lawn mower to do it.
